Job Opportunities For all positions, formal qualifications are important and all our staff are required to exceed the minimum requirements as outlined in the National Quality Standards (NQS).

That said, we look for the right person that complements the team, not the most “formally” qualified. We firmly believe great people, with great qualifications are the key to quality staff.

Diploma Educators

Leap Start Early Learning Child Care is an exciting new 98 place centre opened February 2016 in Jandakot catering for 0 – 5 year olds. We are currently looking for experienced Diploma Qualified Educators who are passionate about working with children.

What we aim to provide is a fun, warm, loving and supportive environment with state of the art facilities and innovative curriculum which helps accelerate each child’s school readiness…..

These are full time and casual positions, working Monday to Friday on a rotating roster.

Duties will include but not limited too:

  • Working alongside other Qualified staff
  • Planning and implementing exciting play based activities
  • Implementing our music and yoga based curriculum
  • Supporting children with special needs
  • Completing all paperwork and programming to a high quality

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Child Care
  • Current Working With Children Check

Early Childhood Teacher

Leap Start Early Learning Child Care is an exciting new 98 place centre opened February 2016 in Jandakot catering for 0-5 year olds. We are currently looking for an Early Childhood Teacher to work alongside a Diploma Qualified in our Kindy room.

What we aim to provide is a fun, warm, loving and supportive environment with state of the art facilities and innovative curriculum which helps accelerate each child’s school readiness…

Duties will include:

  • Assist leading our team of educators to plan, implement, asses and review a high quality and diverse educational program that includes our music and yoga based curriculum.
  • Mentoring other educators by leading quality practice.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers from three of the schools in our local community.
  • Considering how the program can be linked to the community by working with community services, Aboriginal Elders, local community, etc.
  • Assisting with documenting children’s learning and how these assessments can inform curriculum decision-making.
  • Working with the WA Kindy Guidelines as well as the EYLF.

Essential criteria

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a long day care setting.
  • Teacher’s Registration Board Approval.
  • First Aid and Working with Children Check.
